How Your BRS Subscription & Free Trial Work

What This Is

BRS includes a 30-day free trial that gives you full access to the platform before your paid subscription begins.

During the free trial:

  • Your dashboard is fully functional
  • Your website is fully live
  • You can accept real bookings
  • You can process real customer payments
  • No payment method is required yet

A lot of users incorrectly assume the free trial is a “demo mode.” It is not. Your account is fully operational from day one, which means customers can book and pay you immediately while you build your business.

How the Timeline Works

Days 1–30: Free Trial

For the first 30 days:

  • Full dashboard access is available
  • Your public storefront is live
  • Customers can place bookings
  • Card payments can process normally
  • No subscription payment is required yet

You can use this period to:

  • Build your inventory
  • Configure pricing
  • Test bookings
  • Connect Stripe/Sqaure/Paypal/Authorize.net
  • Launch publicly
  • Start collecting revenue

Day 30: Paid Subscription Begins

On day 30:

  • Your paid BRS subscription activates
  • A valid payment method becomes required

If no payment method is added:

  • The dashboard locks
  • Billing prompts appear when attempting to log in

However:

  • Your customer-facing website remains online temporarily
  • Existing infrastructure continues running during the retry period

This catches people off guard because they expect the website to shut off immediately. It does not — there is still a grace period.

Days 30–40: Billing Grace Period

Once the subscription becomes due:

  • BRS attempts to charge the payment method on file
  • If payment fails, automatic retries continue for up to 10 days
  • Reminder emails are sent during this period

During the grace window:

  • The dashboard stays accessible
  • Your storefront stays live
  • Customers can still place bookings
  • Existing automations continue operating

This gives you time to:

  • Update an expired card
  • Fix insufficient funds
  • Replace a failed payment method
  • Resolve bank-related issues

After Day 40: Account Suspension

If the subscription still remains unpaid after the retry period:

  • The dashboard fully locks
  • The storefront stops loading
  • New bookings can no longer come in
  • Customer-facing checkout becomes unavailable

No data is deleted.

Your:

  • Inventory
  • Orders
  • Customers
  • Settings
  • Pricing
  • Website content
  • Uploaded images

all remain preserved exactly as they were before suspension.

Why the Website Also Goes Down

Some users ask why only the dashboard is not disabled while the website stays live.

The reason is simple:

Your public website depends entirely on BRS infrastructure.

That includes:

  • Website hosting
  • Checkout systems
  • Payment integrations
  • Automated emails
  • Customer notifications
  • SSL certificates
  • Domain routing
  • Booking databases
  • File storage

Those services continue consuming server resources even if you are not logging into the dashboard. A severely past-due subscription cannot continue using the full hosting and booking infrastructure indefinitely.

How to Restore Access

To reactivate the account:

  1. Log into BRS
  2. You will automatically be routed to the billing page
  3. Add or update your payment method
  4. Submit the payment

Once the charge successfully clears:

  • Dashboard access is restored
  • The public storefront comes back online
  • Booking functionality resumes

In most cases, restoration happens within minutes after successful payment.
