Understanding Per-Night Pricing

What This Is

Per-Night Pricing is a pricing option available for Day-Based rental products.

It works like a hotel reservation, where customers are charged based on the number of nights they keep the rental—not the number of calendar dates selected.

The checkout day is not included in the charge.

For example:

Booking: September 1 – September 2 = 1 night

Booking: September 1 – September 3 = 2 nights

Booking: September 1 – September 5 = 4 nights

The customer is charged for each overnight stay, while the final checkout day is not billed.

When to Use Per-Night Pricing

Per-Night Pricing is best suited for rentals where customers keep the item overnight.

If your business charges by the day instead of the night, consider using standard Day-Based pricing instead.

How Per-Night Pricing Works

When a customer selects their rental dates, BRS automatically calculates the number of nights between the start date and the end date.

The checkout date is treated as the return date and is not charged.

Common Questions

Why wasn't the checkout day charged?
