How to Limit Deliveries Per Time Slot

What This Is

If you have a limited number of drivers or trucks, you can cap how many deliveries are scheduled per time slot so you do not overcommit. This works alongside your delivery time windows (see: Setting Your Drop-Off and Pickup Windows)

Steps

1.    Go to Rentals → Rental Settings → Booking and Availability

2.    Find the option to limit deliveries per time slot

3.    Set the maximum number of deliveries allowed in each window

4.    Save your settings

Once a time slot hits its limit, customers will no longer be able to select that time on any of your items across your entire website. For instance, if your max deliveries per time slot is set to 2 and two customers have already selected the 10:00 AM drop-off time, any additional customers will no longer see 10:00 AM as an available option during checkout.

Tip: Start with a conservative limit and increase it as you scale. It is better to under-promise and over-deliver on timing.
