Setting Advance Booking Requirements

What This Is

You can require customers to book a minimum number of days in advance. This gives you time to prepare, confirm, and schedule the delivery before the event.

Steps

1.    Go to Rentals → Rental Settings → Booking and Availability

2.    Find the advance booking notice setting

3.    Enter the minimum amount of days required before a booking (e.g. 1- for 1 day, 2 for 2 days)

4.    Save your settings

Customers will not be able to book same-day or within that window unless you manually create the order for them.

Common Setup

• Most rental businesses require 1 to 2 days advance notice. You can still accommodate last-minute requests by creating a manual order (see: How to Create a Manual Order)

• If you want to allow last-minute bookings, you can set this to 0.

Tip: If a last-minute customer calls you directly, you can always create a manual order for them even if the window is closed online.
