How Promo Codes Work

What This Is

Promo codes let you offer discounts to customers at checkout. You create the code in BRS, and customers enter it to receive a discount. Discounts are applied during checkout along with taxes and fees (see: How Taxes Are Applied at Checkout)

How to Create a Promo Code

1.    Go to Rentals → Rental Settings → Promo Codes

2.    Click Add Promo Code

3.    Enter the code customers will type (e.g. SUMMER10)

4.    Set the discount type: percentage off (e.g. 10%) or flat amount off (e.g. $20)

5.    Optionally set a minimum order value or maximum discount value

6.    Save the code

To test your promo codes, run through a full booking flow (see: How to Place a Test Booking Before Going Live)

Tip: Share promo codes in your email marketing or social posts to drive bookings during slow periods.
