How to Set Up a Pickup Service Fee

What This Is

If you charge a fee when customers pick up equipment themselves, you can add it to specific orders without it being visible to regular online customers. This is used for pickup scenarios rather than standard delivery (see: When and How to Enable the Pickup Option)

Steps

1.    Go to Rentals → Rental Items → Add Product

2.    Create a product called 'Pickup Service Fee' (or similar)

3.    In the product settings, toggle off the option to display it on your public website

4.    When you have a pickup order that needs a fee, go to the order and manually add this product

The fee will calculate correctly on the order total without appearing to customers who are browsing your site normally.
